He had picked this out after seeing it advertised in a circular. He was thrilled as we were when we put it together. He did all the work of putting the parts together as we pointed out the steps and read the directions. It took a while, but was well worth the effort. We roleplayed the story of a bad guy and good cop. It is a great toy which is appropriate for a four year old under adult supervision. Lego makes quality interactive and age appropriate sets.
