I stepped in and help assemble this, and indeed, it was more difficult mainly because the instruction manual was not laid out as well as others (no arrows most of the time pointing where one piece goes on this bigger set). I had to take apart and reassemble a few times. The center bottom kept popping out, as did the top right corner base.
