The \"tool\" feature is fun for any 2 year old boy. The parts are durable and creative.That said, my advice is to avoid investing in Duplo. As soon as you can start buying regular legos (Brick's and More sets are great for young ones). By getting bags of bricks early, they simply remain in play for years to come, while the Duplo's end up in your garage waiting for a yard sale.
