I don't have alot of the UCS builds but sets like this one makes me want to go out and collect them all...just need to find the room for them! I found the build itself straight forward and not many challenges. I do like the new way they decided to connect the wings to the main body. It was different and interesting enough to make me want to see it in more sets. I do want to point out that it works for me because this set is for display only but someone buying this large set (as a UCS not sure why you would) to play with, the connection could be risky with swoops and swinging the Fighter around. I also like that the included the stand like most UCS, it just gives that extra pop to the display. It's a fun but slightly repetitive build. It is much less complex than the Slave I, which is by far my favorite Lego Star Wars ship ever. But this Tie is probably my second favorite. It is quite large, and displays very well. It does have some playability and is quite sturdy, but it is clearly designed to be displayed. I think that 14+ build grade is actually a bit high. It is nowhere near as complex as the Slave or even Ewok Village.
