However, make sure to not ultimately wait too long and let this set pass you by. 75211 belongs in your Star Wars collection, no questions asked. As an added bonus, I found it to be proportional to the UCS Millennium Falcon, which puts one well on the way to an amazing display; now I just need three or four more TIEs!
I think this set is just alright. The build is nice, but it really could have been better – the cockpit is too angular IMO and the use of the 4×4 dish as the top hatch was a strange choice. The minifigures are nice but I would have liked a couple more. It's fun to swoosh it around and shoot at targets but beyond that there's nothing much to do.
LEGO has very nearly perfected the TIE Fighter design over the last few years and 75211 Imperial TIE Fighter is undoubtedly the best minifigure-scale version yet. Not only has its shape been improved but the model now feels sturdier than ever before so is ideal for play. I am also satisfied with the minifigure selection on the whole, although a standard Imperial Mudtrooper would have been a welcome addition.
https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/04/28/lego-star-wars-75211-imperial-tie-fighter-from-solo-a-star-wars-story-review/
Even though it's being released to support a non-trilogy Star Wars Anthology movie, 75211 Imperial TIE Fighter is the first “true" (or classic) TIE fighter that takes advantage of the new viewport element — an element that's central to the basic shaping of the craft. It's a marked improvement over the previous standard TIE fighter, 9492 back in 2012 (one of the last TIE fighters to use the old bubble canopy). As such, it's certainly a welcome addition to the currently available range of classic LEGO Star Wars vehicles
"}]}
