He's a big LEGO & LOTR fan, so he was really excited when he opened it. He's now had it for over 3 months and still likes it just as much. Says it's one of his favorite lego sets. While pricey (I guess that's just how LEGO is now), it's a beautiful set. The boat is a nice size and has fun little details that I imagine both kids and adults would enjoy. I was especially delighted at the detailed and completely different patterns for the dead, and the inclusion of Corsair Jackson is the icing on the proverbial minifig cake. The set contains a small number of stickers for maps and some wooden decoration which add to the set, but in a discreet way.
