What a great set for what could have easily just been a big brown box, instead it is crammed full of greebles and details as well as some nice play features.
A very good set for any Star Wars fan. The play features work well, the minifig selection is excellent and the price was right (too bad you'll have to pay collector's prices nowadays.) If you like Original Trilogy sets, this is a must have for your collection.
Let's face it; the model isn't fantastic. It's not revolutionary. But I'll be damned if it's not sturdy, functional, and chock full of hundreds upon hundreds of delicious bricks, not to mention three Jawas and Uncle Owen! The model is a very fun (if long) build, and it matches the Sandcrawler pretty well. All in all, I think it is a great set.
It's not hard to build. But it is fragile when putting it together. It's like trying to build a house out of Lego. All the sides are mostly single stud wide for the walls. I'm sure a few choice blaster shots from a imperial canon could put holes into this Sandcrawler.
