Volkswagen Beetle

This was kind of a joint gift for me and my wife a couple of Christmas's ago. I ended up building most of it, and I will say it is probably one of the harder Lego models I've put together. Some parts of the instructions are a little vague, and that doesn't help when most steps are having you add on 10 to 20 pieces at a time. Most of those pieces are tiny, where you'd normally expect a single large brick you'll get 3 small plates that essentially build the same thing... So your part count is high and it's a little tedious, but it's very rewarding at the same time. The only issue I have with the model is the bumpers, they fall off way to easy. And if you are thinking about it for kids, it's probably not a good idea. It isn't really functional once it's complete (the wheels are locked in the straight position, it's not like a Technic model where everything moves). It's cool to look at, but I don't think I'd find it much fun as a child. more less
