This has to be one of the most adorable Lego sets that i've ever purchased. Forget about the fact that Snow White's body is too skinny and she'd be better as a minifig, I think that's not likely to change. The pieces are fabulous. A squirrel! fawn! pie! My issue with this set is the silly pink pre-build that should have been several pieces. I guess that's what Junior is all about, but this reminds me of Jack Stone, and not in a good way! I still give it 5 stars for it's insanely high level of cuteness!
Great for begginers are they are getting used to the power of the legos! Everything you can make out of them if you know what I mean and remember playing with them as a kid. Snow White version gets some children involved that may not have originally been interested in legos due to building. Following the book that comes with this set will help your child explore the pieces and learn to build the scene that the picture on the box represents. It's something fun that you can do with your child while he or she is learning the ropes. I will say that this set was pricey in comparison to another set I purchased along with this one. That set case with a carrying case for just a few bucks more. But on the other hand legos last a long time. Not an easy toy to break and if our parents would have stashed all our legos as children they'd still be in good condition to pass down. Legos are good investments if you have the little explore child.
I have been looking forward to the release of a Snow White mini-doll and the resultant figure is very satisfying. The new hair piece looks brilliant and I like the forest animals too, although a couple of bluebirds would have been even better. The dwarf's cottage is small and simple but includes some impressive details along with a few rare pieces which are always welcome.
