Overall, the quality and satisfaction of build is as good as I've come to expect from the Architecture series. Some of the high piece count is thanks to the Burj Khalifa, which can be a little repetitive while building, but it's still worth it for the way it towers over the other buildings. And the other buildings were much more interesting to put together and watch take shape. There were only a couple things about the set I didn't love. For the building on the right, the bendy pieces were a little fiddly to get in place (similar to the Golden Gate Bridge if you've done San Francisco)--probably unavoidable but still annoying for a perfectionist. Also, the towers on the left still wiggle after being set in the base. Finally, I was left with three extra light blue transparent round pieces, instead of the usual one extra. I can't find anywhere I might've missed a step to put them in! But still, these are only minor quibbles, and I'd recommend this set to any Lego enthusiast.

Overall, this is a great set with beautiful design and moderate difficulty. However, I bought this set with another set on the same day, both are with a missing piece. For this part, it's a bit disappointing.

It is particularly difficult to apply a single numeric rating to sets in the Skyline series, as you can have wildly different impressions of each model featured in the set. That's definitely the case here—In isolation, the Burj Al Arab would have earned top marks, but I need to give lower marks for the set as a whole.

21052 Dubai is a cracker of a display piece — impressive in scale due to Burj Khalifa's height, and impressive in the detail on show in Burj Al Arab. The Dubai Frame and Fountain are somewhat throwaway in their construction techniques, but the models nicely capture their real-world inspiration, and the twin Jemeirah Towers offer some interesting connections in a fun build.

The scale of this building just makes displaying this set (alongside Tokyo) great to see. It'll bring people who have been there over to see them, and get people talking that haven't been there yet, but want to.

It's not my favourite Skyline by any means but I do like it, and I'm sure anyone who's visited the city or is collecting them will too.

This was my first Architecture set. And I'm a bit torn over it. The Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab look very good. But the Dubai Frame is the definition of inspirationlesness (if that is a word), and the Emirates Towers are a bit plain. I'm not sure which side weighs in more for me. I think this is one of those sets, where you either get the entire series for display, or you buy it when you live in Dubai, or as a souvenir from a trip there.

As a city fascinated with pushing the boundaries of architectural design, Dubai translates perfectly into LEGO form, particularly when put through the increasingly innovative design approach from LEGO Architecture. There's perhaps never been a more apposite pairing of source material and LEGO theme before than that captured in 21052 Dubai.

In addition to being a wonderful set for display, the set is also a very nice (albeit rather expensive) parts pack. While it lacks the parts variety of some other Architecture sets, the quantity of the elements included help to make up for this, offering a number of desirable existing parts and new recolours to builders.
