We got this for our grandson's seventh birthday. He was very excited when he unwrapped it, and started building the airplane as soon as he could. He completed it all by himself by following the directions in the booklet. There was a piece he couldn't find, and he got a little excited, thinking the dog had eaten it, but his daddy found it for him, so all was good! This was almost his favorite gift at his family party, surpassed only by a bow with soft-tipped arrows that lit up. Unfortunately, he accidentally shot his mother, and temporarily lost possession of that present!

There isn't really that much to recommend this set to your average AFOL, unless they are a die-hard plane fan. I do, however, think this would make a great set for kids.
