As expected with LEGO sets the magic is in the details and there is no shortage of surprising details throughout this great set. We are off to the Mediterranean on our yacht, complete with a jetski, fishing and more.
I purchased this boat for my son after many visits to the lego section and him picking it up. I caved and bought it. It was fun to build and a huge hit. He uses it to transport his mini figures to a party island.
Cute set with challenging but not unreasonably difficult assembly. Fun attention to detail. Final boat design includes a sink, toilet and TV in the cabin. There is a crab in the sand castle. The only "downside" is that some of the parts for this set are only usable in this set. Once my nephew finishes with a set, he often takes the individual pieces and used them in his own creations. A couple of the parts have very specific uses (like the deck of the boat) that can't be used in generic free-building.
There is very little that I do not like about Cruising Adventures. The only down side that I can see about the set is the low brick-to-Minifigure ratio. Even if you buy this set at full price, you are getting a good deal.
