My son is 10 years old and although he loves to play with Lego and make up his own models and buildings, he also enjoys following instructions to create something. He did find it a little difficult to do completely independently, but I thoroughly enjoyed joining in to help. It took several hours to build over a few days. The finished result is great and allows for hours of more play to be had. I would recommend this medieval castle Lego set. Happy building.
