We bought this game to play with our five and three year old boys. it was possibly a little too advanced for our three-year old, but he still had fun playing it with us. This is such a great game where the whole family is involved in cooperative play - you start by building the game board together, and then as you play the game, you build the die together. There is a healthy amount of competition as you race to get to the finish, but it isn't anything cut-throat, and it moves fairly quickly, even with small children who lose interest quickly. Our whole family loves this game, and we will probably continue playing it for many years - it's far more interesting for adults than hi-ho-cherry-o, but requires a similar level of education and ability to read. Hooray for LEGO!
I own a good few Games titles now but this is easily the most underwhelming. The parts list isn't as interesting as I thought it would be, the game is boring, and overall it just feels like an afterthought entry in the Games line. So unfortunately, it becomes the first Game title that I wouldn't really recommend.
