While my kids loved putting this together and playing it as well, they only really had tons of fun with it when they added some expansion packs to it. With the expansion packs they had a great time and played with it longer than I anticipated.Keep an eye on the price though. When I bought this it was about thirty bucks which was a good deal. It has since gone up significantly and for the current price I wouldn't recommend it. There's just not enough to do on it's own and it's not likely to keep your kids interested any longer than it did mine. So unless you need this game desperately I'd skip it and find something less costly.
