LEGO House

Our family got into the Architecture sets about a year ago, and had about five of them before getting this Lego House set. Our son is a huge Lego fan and happened to find and watch a documentary of the Lego House in Billund on a popular streaming service. He thought it was so cool. He was overjoyed when I showed him that there is a set for it for him to build. It goes great along side other Architecture series sets. more less

The overall figure is not good, but bear in mind that this set was never meant to be a playable set. Take it how you want, but I was still pretty chuffed in being able to own a copy. It's certainly unique! more less

It is clear that the interest of the model lies in its uniqueness and what this project symbolizes for the future of the company, so it will definitely be highly sought after by collectors. Fans of the Architecture line can also see it as an attractive model, because although it does not properly belong to this line, since it is a building and given its scale, it is certainly closer to this theme than to any other. The completed set is decorative and stylish and looks great on the desk of any AFOL. more less

This is certainly a cool set, and if you can get your hands on it I'd recommend doing so. It has a lot of display value and collectibility even if most of the pieces aren't that rare. You're not going to pick this up for the parts, that's for sure. The LEGO House is a unique building that I'd love to visit some day, but until then, this set will do fine. more less

250 parts, and the construction is not especially challenging, although the constant layout of white on white on white did result in me getting a little disoriented on more than one occasion. I started searching for pieces that I had already placed, getting anxious that I couldn't find them. It turns out they were there all along! It certainly conveys the sense of space that the LEGO House has, and leaves me looking forward to going to see it when it is finally open. Measuring 20 x 20 studs, however, it is just a little too large to fit properly directly into a standard Micropolis layout. more less

This is a nice little set, and the packaging, the exclusivity and the minifig make it more than the sum of it's parts. Those parts, let's be honest, aren't that exciting. It's a set of entirely standard bricks, there's no SNOT work, or other interesting techniques. more less

This is another great Architecture set that fans of the series will want to get hold of. It's not a very impressive building height-wise but it does look very interesting architecturally and I look forward to visiting the real thing in 2016. more less

Overall, the interest in this set lies in its place in LEGO's future history and its exclusivity, so I imagine it will largely appeal to one's desire to collect. The set costs 149 Danish Kroner (about US$27.70/GB£16.50) but of course, secondary market prices are vastly higher. If you're simply after the experience of building it from your own bricks, that's quite possible if you're happy to supplement the printed and the Trans-Clear tiles. more less
