Very nice cute dog Easy and fast I was disappointed that the Kit did not include the two People with the Chinese glyphic tablet But I guess it was just for advertising. I am searching if the same dog Was used for a different purpose.
Highly recommend getting this to everyone as it's one of the more substantial promotional sets that LEGO releases. If you're from the US, Asia, UK or Europe, I'd plan my purchases around spending $88 in your local currency from the 16 of February onwards to qualify for this Gift with Purchase.
I am a sucker for a small set, especially one with a brick built animal. There are relatively few options for posturing the model from this set, and I think it is very much a display piece, rather than a model to play with.
For the set itself, it's a very cute Dog that can be displayed pretty much anywhere and you'll be able to spark a conversation from it. The purchase requirement for it isn't too bad and is fairly easy to get. The promotional period runs from February 16-28, while supplies last but I have a feeling that stock won't last long. If you somehow miss out on it, all of the parts are non-exclusive so you can build it using parts from your collection if you have them.
This is a charming little set. I was very happy to see that LEGO was offering the Chinese New Year set in the U.S. The colouring on the dog is terrific and there's some nice moving functions with the wiggling ears, the spinning head and moving tail. I also like the greenery and flowers included to set the scene. It's quite fitting that the promo comes with an $88 purchase in the U.S. as 88 symbolizes fortune and good luck in Chinese culture.
