do not let this mini gingerbread house fool you. it packed with details and colors...took my advance level Lego builder hubby over an hour to put together. perfect size if you are creating a village. i like it so much i may buy the larger size gingerbread house later this year. if you are an adult Lego enthusiasts you will like this house.
This is a fantastic little build, especially if you have a lack of space for a full on winter village! It sits nicely by itself and doesn't need much else. Although my son did use the spares to make an outside fire pit! There are lots of lovely building techniques we took over to some MOCs as well. For us the plaque didn't have to have the sticker on it but the year is significant to us so that adds a nice touch. We love it!
There's a lot to like about 40337 Gingerbread House, and as a small display model, either as a version of 10267 Gingerbread House or as its own thing, this is a set that adds quality and character to any Christmas display.
LEGO delivers a compact micro scale gingerbread house that retains all the notable details of its counterpart. Hopefully they will continue the trend of having micro-scale models of their larger D2C sets like the LEGO 1989 Batmobile (76139) and the mini Batmobile limited edition.
Overall, the Mini Gingerbread House (40337) is a cute little set that will look great next to the larger one. The details on the front as well as on the sides are pretty much spot on. It does have some weight to it since there are no hollow areas on the inside.
It's a very nice little model and a generously sized GWP. It's just a shame that the spending threshold to obtain it is, once again, so high.
