Loved this Xtra polybag. Most of the contents are in uncommon colors which is awesome - the leaves in orange and green (bright green are common) and the white and lime green leaves (green is common) along with the reddish brown fences (white is common) makes this a great value and fun one to have. I want multiples!
Almost everyone needs plants to spruce up their custom builds. There is a good selection in this kit, although I which there was more newer leaf elements included.
As a way to quickly enhance a small scene, they are great BUT they are not necessarily the best way to bulk up your supplies of the smaller elements.
I do personally feel that the LEGO Xtra set of polybags are targeted primarily at the casual LEGO fan who wants to add a little extra to their existing sets but these are really handy for moccers as well if you are in need for a quick fix and cannot wait for Bricklink / Brickowl to ship the parts to you.
After a fair amount of joyful experimenting, I'm pleased to report that the elements in these polybags, sold as parts packs for theme-specific builds, also serve as an excellent jumping off point for weird and wonderful custom creations. Yay for unusual parts use!
Overall the price point for the LEGO xtra Botanical Accessories (40376) is decent for what you get. This polybag allows those who are expanding plant scenes to add more without breaking the bank too much however your are somewhat limited due the parts included in the set.
It is tough to know exactly what an accessory pack should offer, as by definition it will depend on the needs of the individual LEGO fan buying it. 40376 Botanical Accessories does not feel like great value for money, but the elements it contains are useful and will fit into a variety of settings.
The xtra sets are a great way to bring a little extra detail to your LEGO builds. They are particularly useful for MOC builders and those who like to create their own city scenes. To be fair they are a little difficult to review, as there is very little building involved. But what I can say is they are great add-on items for boosting up spend amount.
