Overall, there are no real complaints here. It might have been nice to have a bigger set with a dozen red roses, but with two you get the idea, and if that's not enough there's always the aformentioned bouquet set or 40461 Tulips, which also pairs nicely. more less

I enjoyed building 40460 Roses. It's a clever design with a good-looking result, well worth the money (£11.99 / €12.99 / US$12.99). With 4 recolours and 16x Slope Curved 3 x 4 x 2/3 Triple Curved in Red (6204665 | 93604) as well as being the cheapest set to contain the new steering wheel Thomas Jenkins recently examined, the set also lends itself well to being a parts-pack. more less

These sets present an affordable entry to the new botanical collection and look beautiful and realistic when placed in an attractive vase, although I don't think the two varieties display that well together. It's not normal to do so anyway, at least not in our house! more less

These sets both offer a cost-effective way to add some flowers to your LEGO collection if the $50 US for the 10280 Flower Bouquet is out of your price range. Both are good representations of their real-world counterparts, and are pretty close in cost to what cut flowers will run you around holidays. Both sets have their minor flaws, but there aren't any major issues with either. They look nice, and are a fun way to sidestep allergies and hungry pets if you want a botanical display in your home. more less

Although the build is quick (and I mean really quick!) the end results look great, and I can't help but be in awe of the endless creativity found with LEGO. Taking car hoods and making petals! It's still not the kind of set that would end up on my wishlist, there's just not enough build, but for a small, impulse purchase (to get you to free shipping maybe?) these are a solid option. Playability is zero so it's not one for the kiddos, but if your significant other stops you from displaying LEGO, these might just get them to change their mind. more less
