I love this set. It's done for me what 3315 Olivia's House did and just makes me crave the Friends line more. There are a few minor oddities here and there (like the WC, and the 1x1 round plates in the wall), but the designers really have ticked all the boxes with this set in terms of parts and playability and minidolls. The build is great fun and the overall set just looks fantastic. This is yet another shining example of the Friends line going from strength to strength, and I can see these flying off the shelves when they go on sale.
I gave this to my granddaughter for her 11th birthday and she loved it! She put it together with the "assistance" of her 8 year old sister and the two had a wonderful time playing with it. She really enjoys putting together the lego friends sets and has several others. This one is a little pricey for the number of pieces, but I wanted to reinforce the education theme. Besides the actual assembly, she enjoyed the art and science classrooms and the many details of school life....real life to her. The set was packaged well and arrived in two days as promised as an amazon prime member. Amazon's service has been outstanding for all of my purchases.
I really feel that this is another win for LEGO fans of all ages. The school could easily fit into a town and there is tons of playability to go around. There are some rare colors that will keep AFOLs interested. This is a beautiful set that, I feel, both boys and girls could play with.
I was very impressed with the set and I recall my wife saying that she had a really good time building it. Fipping through the instruction manual, I can see why. There's not a whole lot of repetitive builds, the colours and elements such as the microscope, telescope, lockers and window stills are all very interesting mini-builds. The light bright yellow bricks go together so well with the dark blue roof bits that when displayed, comes together in a very pleasing aesthetic sense. In short, it's a very pretty, very pleasant looking building. It being a modular build also keeps it interesting as you can switch up the look in a couple of seconds and it looks like you have a new building on display. By far, this is my favourite Friends set that I've ever had the privilege of owning.
