I got this set for my oldest daughter. She totally loves it. She loves that there is the extra clothing and hair for the Friends character and even a pet too. It was pretty easy to put together, she didn't even need help from her "master builder" brother! It was together in less than an hour and has already been played with for hours by her and her siblings. Very fun set for the LEGO Friends enthusiast. My daughter is on the older side of the spectrum as far as age goes and had no issues putting it together. My middle daughter is on the lower end of the age range and couldn't help much with it even though she's been building since she could hold blocks. I think the colors of the Friends sets make it mire difficult for her.On the whole, it's a great set. Love LEGO and this one is no exception. Very pleased with it.

I was interested in this set because the theme reminded me of my Lady Gaga phase. The dog is a cute touch by itself and reminds me of hers. The arch looked novel. It got me interested in more of the series. I love the packaging. The contours on the end and the shinier printing in some places stand out. I can open one end without destroying the box. This was the first set with numbered bags I built, which really does help organize. I wish the instructions laid flat. It was cute to show a minidoll opening the set. Much of this also goes for other LEGO packaging and instructions. There were a lot of cool pieces, but many small or limited use ones. I like the more realistic look of Friends minis, though I wish they would stay put sitting down, and it was a bit hard to attach both skirt tabs. It was fun and not too easy or hard to build, but I have some minor problems with the design. Overall, the mirror area was too crowded, especially with pick up and put down of items in the finished space. Why couldn't the cabinet have two drawers? I ended up with a lot of loose accessories. The chair can't turn fully with the cabinet in the way and the counter immediately above it. I decided to move the chair one stud to the left and raise the counter by one plate. I would have liked more color on the chair. The back wall used multiple small pieces where fewer large ones would have fit. I especially would've liked some 2x2 corners instead of more 1x1's and 1x2's. The stickers could be hard to align. When folded, the model was easy to carry and looked good when not in use. The different ways of unfolding should expand play options.

This set provides kids with everything needed to play out a pop star's back-stage dressing room activities. Pop Star Dressing Room is for LEGO Friends fans ages 7–12, but we think kids as young as 5 will also enjoy playing with the completed set. Kids around the ages of 5–7 will probably need some help with the build.

It's just so much fun changing the Dressing Room into different forms that Livi might want to hang around in here for a little while longer. This set offers more than it may appear at first glance.

This is definitely a “girly" set. There's not much to do with the build other than dress Livi, have her put on makeup and play with accessories. I know there are some girls who would love this, but I find it a very static set. The stickers, while used to good effect, I also find to be a bit onerous. To that end, based on a comment here, I didn't apply stickers while building, so all the “in process" pictures are without stickers. I applied them all at the end for the final couple of shots. While it makes a difference in the overall visual appeal, I think the mirror in the main changing area makes the most impact.
