This is a pretty cute set for the price and we love having the Mulan minidoll! She comes with some pretty unique items like the sword, fan, and horse. My five year old was able to put this together with very minimal help!
I loved this set - it was a brilliant addition to my collection, the mulan figurine is so beautiful - i would have liked if there was a mushu or crickie piece as well but for the price it is it's very good value anyway!
With numerous references to the source material, an exclusive mini-doll and great parts, 41151 is about as good as a set this size can be. Whether you are a fan of the film, collect mini-dolls, or hunt for good parts, this set will not be a disappointment.
Using 104 pieces, build a family temple, a turning training dummy, a catapult, and a cherry blossom tree. The set includes a Mulan mini-doll figure with fan accessory and a Khan the horse figure.
For fans of Mulan, this is going to be a must have, since the Minifigure is fantastic. The build isn't idea but for younger fans, they will enjoy having a little set piece for Mulan to play with. It's perfectly priced for the budget end of LEGO, unfortunately, there isn't a huge amount of choice at this end of the market for Disney related LEGO sets compared to Marvel or Star Wars.
The Disney theme is sometimes criticised for becoming a bit repetitive, featuring similar castles and characters in successive waves. 41151 Mulan's Training Day therefore makes a welcome change, not only because it includes a brand new mini-doll but also due to the unusual nature of the subject matter. Training dummies and Shinto are more often found in NINJAGO sets so seeing them here, with a slight Disney twist, is fun.
