My granddaughters absolutely love the Lego Elves sets. They offer mystical creatures mostly not found in the rest of Lego realm, ranging from fierce dragons to adorable but mischievous bat – kitten creatures. The sets show good creativity and I love watching my granddaughters' imagination go crazy as the play with their completed sets. And when I say completed, I should mention completed in a hurry. When they get a new set in hand, they don't stop until it is finished. I hope the Lego Elves sets continue on, as my granddaughters cannot get enough of these underappreciated sets…. my wife is a turtle collector, so the girls couldn't wait to share the completed set with her. Another winner.

I have to admit the set is not as exciting as I first thought, when I first saw it. The turtle is cool and uses pieces well to create it and well as giving it a magical feel. The love the little floating island, in fact it would of been nice to have a bigger water scene, as it's already packed with detail so just imagine what could of been done with a bigger section. The Spider Bat's boat seems a little random, but thankfully this is to be a running theme across the sets.

In the end, this set has a lot going for it, including a couple of neat characters, some nice action features, and a cool brick built turtle. And there's also a bit of a collectability aspect to it, since you know you're going to want all four elemental creatures eventually. Naida and Cory do deliver by being the cheapest elemental creature available. That said, this isn't my favorite set from the latest wave of Elves, as some of the other models have more interesting animal designs and other cool builds. Cory wouldn't be my first choice, but it's a good set to get if you're on a tighter budget. The various blue pieces also make it a decent parts pack too.
