Great design/color scheme; very swooshable. Exaggerated features of the jet looks awesome.
My granddaughter and I have a blast putting LEGO's together. She does most of the work with minimal input from me. Most of the LEGO's are wheeled as compared to this one that flies. The net is a plastic that is spring like. The net will pop out if put in right which is easy to do.
I absolutely love this set (Batgirl is my favorite superhero). My only complaint is the net doesn't actually "launch" out of the Batjet, it more just falls out. Other than that it's a very fun set and I love seeing LEGO encourage building for little girls with their favorite characters!
If you're a dad and have a young daughter(s), I really think that these DC Super Hero Girls sets are going to be a great vehicle to share your geeky interests and provide yet another avenue to bond. Unlike some of the other sets in this theme, I really appreciate that LEGO didn't feel the need to over-girlify this set and instead opted to keep this set quite unisex. I highly recommend Batgirl Batjet Chase – you're not going to find a set at this price point that offers this much satisfaction, especially if you're a fan of DC Super Heroes.
This one has a lot of fun elements that fans will recognize from the web series, and they'll like collecting the cute but evil Kryptomites that come with every LEGO DC Super Hero Girls set. Fans will also like being able to build out their own version of the DC Super Hero Girls world to help train future superheroes like Batgirl through telling their own superhero stories.
The Batjet is a lot of fun. It's mostly dark blue, with purple for the main cockpit and engine. I like the shaping on the wings. Like usual, I'd vastly prefer all the stickered parts to be prints. It's especially applicable here because the stickers go on a lot of curved pieces, and they're difficult to center fully.
As a display set it would not look out of place alongside other Super Hero sets as it retains the Super Hero DNA with the strong use of dark earth blue as the primary colour and is immediately recognisable as a vehicle befitting the caped-crusader. But for me my real interest with this set lies within parts. A swathe of new elements along with new prints and a few recolours to add to my parts collection.
