A Lego never disappoints. This one was a hit with an 7 year old and she loves it. Only drawback, Legos hurt when you step on them.
This is a really fun combination of LEGO construction play and roleplay that puts LEGO Friends fans in the shoes of their favorite LEGO Friends characters. Whether they want to put on a show like Andrea, go on an adventure like Mia, or get sporty like Stephanie, these buildable accessories provide a starting point for all sorts of imaginative storytelling.
I wasn't really sure what to expect with this set, which is the reason I brought in the experts, Lucie and Jasper. Both told me they had a good time building the pieces. It was very enjoyable for me to watch Lucie and Jasper enjoying the different builds as they were completed - it reminded me of how kids build differently than adults, who would mostly likely just move from one build to the next. When asked if they had a favourite, Lucie and Jasper were hard pressed to name one, though the camera, robot and walkie talkies all got a lot of attention.
Although this is an ideal set for any Friends fan, any builder who declares a favorite theme other than the Heartlake city scene could be very happy with this box. Each build could easily be tweaked for any genre or canon of the LEGO brick. Or, customize it to your real-life activities.
