It is a fun toy and good for kids to play.It helps them to keep them busy for a while.With little kids it just needs guidance.Colors are fun for my girls.They enjoyed playing it!

For an entry-level Friends set, me and my daughter managed to get a lot of enjoyment from it. My daughter is 3, and doesn't have the longest attention span, but managed to (mostly) assemble the truck before I had to come in and finish the build of. I do like the Nat Geo partnership, and LEGO animals are always a hit since parents mostly love teaching kids about the animal kingdom.

For the price (203 pieces, $19.99, 19.49€, £17.99), there's a lot here. Two minidolls are pretty rare for a set of this size, the elephant is unique to this set and quite cute, and there's a lot of story available. I'm hoping that every set in this subtheme has some kind of moving function. I was despairing with this set, but the instructional designer saved the sliding function for getting the elephant out of the mud until the very end of the instructions.

Recommendation: meh by thropots

Overall this is a fun build. The vehicle is compact but fully usable. The terrain sets the scene. The mini-dolls are stylish in their jungle rescue outfits. The baby elephant is totally adorable. I think kids would have a lot of fun playing with this, and it makes a good jumping off point for a larger MOC or to combine with other sets from this sub theme.
