This lego figure is awesome! I really enjoyed building it. Even if this toy is quite simple, I really like all the details. The only thing I didn't like that much was the support, because Chewbacca feet, in my opinion fit too loose to the base. Anyway it's a beautiful figure.
This is a strange Brickheadz set, one minute I like it but then I look at again and I don't, I think it needed a little more work to make it look like Chewbacca, especially on the big head. It's probably one of the weaker Star Wars Brickheadz and shows the problem with this format with certain characters.
Fans of the mighty wookiee may not appreciate this slightly odd looking version of Han Solo's favourite fuzzball, suggesting that BrickHeadz 41609 Chewbacca will divide opinion. It could be worse, as at least this LEGO Chewbacca is not sporting a super creepy smile…
Certain characters seem ill-suited to the style of the BrickHeadz range and I think Chewbacca falls into that category, unfortunately. The colour scheme is excellent and I like the texturing that covers most of the model but the abrupt transitions between rough and smooth surfaces, as well as those between different colours, are disappointing.
While Chewie isn't as furry or tall as he could be, he's darn cute and there's no mistaking who this hairy sidekick is supposed to be.
I must admit, I really like Chewbacca. The color combination of Reddish Brown, Dark Brown and Medium Dark Flesh works perfectly, and the face is different enough to be instantly recognizable. Considering a Part-Out Value of twice the retail price (and four times the discount price) this is a really good buy. Provided, of course, you don't hate Brickheadz, or Star Wars, for that matter...
