I've grown to love Brickheadz more and more with each set I complete. I found this set at my local Wal-Mart. Lego has once again given us a Comic Con worthy set with a twist. This time we get the first animal Brickheadz in a non-seasonal set. I've built the Valentines Day Bee, but Blue was a lot more fun and had printed elements. Lego is working hard to keep line aesthetics in place. I love the colors and printed tiles included here. Blue has a great two tone body sculpt and Owen's uniform is broken up in great colors. The included gun accessory and extra detail in Owen's hair make this another worthwhile addition to Brickheadz line. I definitely recommend picking this set up. I would still go with Back to Future set first if you are new to the line. Price and piece count are acceptable here. I love that Lego continues to provide separate instructions for these combo Brickheadz sets. The builds are simple, straightforward, and appropriate for multiple ages. Thanks for looking at my review. Happy Building.
Very cool, though not much to play with once they are built. Still it was a cool Xmas gift!
Brick Headz brings some additional whimsey to the LEGO line, and these figures are very cute. But with that fun, there is little loss of details: take a look at Owen's outfit, weapon, and hairstyle that could only otherwise be found on Chris Pratt's head. Blue features a mix of greens and of course, that beautiful blue stripe that runs from her eye to tail. For any Jurassic World fan, this set is a must - both for LEGO lovers and collectors.
Despite building a BrickHeadz dinosaur definitely being something different, it is not well executed, so ultimately proves disappointing. This set is for the BrickHeadz or Jurassic World completist collectors only, everyone else can easily skip it.
BrickHeadz models of humans are all much the same bar the hair and chest pattern so having a something completely different makes a refreshing change. Although it's very different, it's still recognisable as a BrickHeadz and I suppose that's testament to the flexibility of the basic design. I don't suppose this set will do anything to sway the BrickHeadz-haters, of which there are many, but those that adore them will find much to to like here.
Blue is the real hero of this set in my opinion. The model adheres surprisingly close to the standard BrickHeadz construction, with a few notable exceptions. Starting with the feet, they end in a 1×3 footprint, as opposed to the 1×2 for humanoid characters. Blue also features well placed blue details along her body and head, from which she gets her name. The long tail is not so bulky that it feels out of place, but rather the perfect counter-balance to the larger forward placed head. And speaking of the head, it is only slightly larger than the standard 4×4 base head design, with a very well-designed snout and lower jaw, and those adorable fang-printed tiles complete the figure.
