Bought this for my son. He built it very quick, and was happy with the way it looked. The Darth Vader was reproduced very well, with all the slopes and printed pieces. A great office desk decoration for anybody who wants to show that they love Star Wars.
Nicely made and excellent quality. Unfortunately when I order products like this the product box is not in good condition, which is not good if it's a gift or being kept as a collectable.
Another solid LEGO Brickheadz set, its got everything you'd want from a Darth Vader toy, its got the detail on the front and is instantly recognisable, making it a perfect addition to your shelf or desk.
Returning to the question of whether this BrickHeadz set will do the Dark Lord of the Sith justice, the answer is unfortunately no. If it wasn't for the printed pieces adding the necessary detail, it would look awful. The character is nowhere near menacing enough, does not look imposing and instead looks a bit too comical. When placed next to other BrickHeadz models, Vader looks too small. In this instance, the lack of interesting pieces, the build itself and the final design leave very little to enjoy about this experience. The BrickHeadz style might not work for every character, but there are some fantastic custom made Darth Vader Brickheadz out there, so it is possible. Hopefully the LEGO Group will revisit this character as a BrickHeadz set in the future, and release an improved version.
41619 Darth Vader is bit low on new recolours, but his decorations have potential for reuse.
My advice is very simple: You either buy one Vader BrickHeadz and two Stormtrooper BrickHeadz or you better get none of them. Both figures look amazingly great together, and now I'm dying to get one more stormtrooper to place both of them behind Darth Vader's figure.
I had high expectations for 41619 Darth Vader and this set does not disappoint. Part of its appeal is in the idea of turning such a mighty villain into an adorable BrickHeadz figure, much like 41605 Thanos, but the model is also highly detailed and includes a wonderful selection of printed pieces.
