Crafty kids will love getting creative with LEGO Dots. We like that the line ranges from jewelry to desktop items, and that the larger kits include storage and sorting trays to make building easier. And all the crafts are super easy to change up whenever kids want a new look. more less

I quite enjoyed the challenge of decorating each of the three picture frames. The selection of colors offered to decorate the frames really helped here, since we get some high contrast options like Black and White, plus a diverse range of pastels. more less

The Dots theme is fairly varied, despite its focus on the same stable of 1x1 parts across all sets. A lot of people might be content to limit themselves to the bracelets or Extra Dots packs for their greater emphasis on the tiles themselves, as well as their unique printed parts but a set like this not only serves a practical function, it also offers a quite extensive part selection of its own. This includes not only tiles in bulk quantities but also a few unique or rare building elements that form the “base" for that creative tile usage. I would recommend a set like this to anyone really passionate about the Dots theme or mosaic decorating in general. more less

I think they would look great in any child's bedroom and I certainly would've been pleased to have one when I was younger, but they would also make a great addition to any LEGO-loving household to display favourite photos and add a pop of colour to the room. The only negative I have is the aperture of the frames. You'd have trouble fitting any already-printed photos, so you will have to print your own and probably crop them to an awkward size. more less
