This was a nice fun kit to build. Every time I get my daughter a toy, I get a cheaper lego kit. This was fun for an evening build with the kiddo.
I LOVE these sets, they are technically advanced providing a challenge to my 6 year old but he can still do them as long as we make sure he has assembled the chassis correctly then he can usually get the rest. We love the fact that they are pull back and go! So Cool!
Pullback sets are not the most technically advanced models, so you can't expect any other functionality than hitting the walls in your house. However, I think they are very appealing to kids. The fact that this year's pullback sets form a duo adds to the fun. In my opinion TLG hit the nail on the head with the Getaway Racer and Police Interceptor. The Getaway Racer looks very badass, which is something you don't see every day in a Technic set.
I believe that these racers will appeal to young Technic fans. If you have a couple of youngsters, these two sets will produce endless hours of competitive play. They can easily race across a room 10m (30ft) wide. Couple these models with some simple ramps for jumps and tricks.
