Easy build for my 7 year old who has just discovered Hero Factory and loves all things Lego. The instructions were easy to follow for him. All pieces were included in the package. The built Lego toy is functional and does not fall apart easily. He's had a lot of fun playing with this one!
This set really takes advantage of having the large tool attached to its back, and doubly so when it can even switch to something else halfway through a fight (or tunneling mission). It has the right mix of armor and bulk to look sturdy but not get in the way of looking functional, and does not look like a revamped Hero with a cockpit like the last wave of sets. Overall, I am really impressed, and Bulk looks great at the helm.
The Drill Machine was one of the few sets I was really interested in after seeing them at Toy Fair. I like it's color scheme, and I appreciate the idea of a driller. With so many mechs this year just being combat based, it was good to see something that focused more on being a utility-machine, I imagine it as originally being a drilling machine that they outfitted with combat equipment at a later date. It's design is neat, and it's four legs offer more posing potential than the Flea machine. As a parts pack, you've got some nice bits here, but quite a lot of the parts are already featured in the other sets this wave, so it's up to personal preference on that front.
