As much as I like these retired Star Wars Lego sets . . . I hate paying two or three times MSRP for them. So, you really have to shop around for a decent price.
The biggest thing going against this set is the price and the lack of actual "cantina" to justify the namesake. The minifigures are top-notch though, and the landspeeder is a great improvement over the original 1999 version.
Completists really don't need a reason to get this set. Minifig fans might balk at the price if they already own Luke, Ben, and Han. You get a cool dewback and the landspeeder is pretty nice. The cantina is a complete joke, should have been called Mos Eisley Broom Closet it's so small.
The weakest aspect of 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina is definitely the eponymous cantina, which includes remarkably limited detail and should have been expanded. Fortunately, other sets have dramatically improved upon this simplistic design and taken suitable inspiration from the accompanying X-34 Landspeeder which looks marvellous.
A well-built and playable set. Han, Greedo and Dewback minifigures included only in this set.
