This is actually a pretty interesting little kit. It comes with 24 pieces, one of which is the actual pod. This is the first time I have ever seen a little display case like this for an exclusive Minifigure. It has an embossed front with the LEGO Batman Movie logo. When you open it up, it has built in LEGO plates to allow you to build inside and place the Minifigure. As a first, it is a novelty that I quite like. I wouldn't mind seeing more exclusives come like this, though I can see all of these little pods starting to take up quite a bit of space if it becomes the norm.

The LEGO Batman Movie Batman Battle Pod (5004929) has been long sought after ever since it was revealed late last year. Ever since then, it's been fairly exclusive and hard to get a hold of until now. Fans who want to complete their TLBM collection now will have an opportunity to with the release at TRU.

Collecting the numerous Batman suits from The LEGO Batman Movie is a lot of fun and this is a nice addition to the range. I like the bright design of the minifigure and it is an outfit which Bruce Wayne is seen wearing in the film, unlike many of the other figures which have been released in recent months, so is more appealing in this respect.

One of the reasons that this is on the top of most LEGO Batman collector's list is the minifigure. It is of Batman in a tiger striped suit that can only be found in this polybag.
