I love lego trains. This is not going to be a particularly objective review.High speed passenger trains are a must-have if you collect multiple trainsets.We have 5 train sets, including not one, but two of this train set.It's motorized. For some reason this set, even though the cars are larger, and it has the standardmotor, is really fast. It derails easily if you go fast around corners. Of allmy sets, this is the one I actively use the remote for, to vary the speed nand avoid derailing.The track is small. Get more straight track and this speedy guy is fun.It looks fast even when it's not moving.At the time I purchased it, the price was discounted, making it the least expensive motorized setavailable. But when modern passenger sets are discontinued the price tends to skyrocket. Buy it now.

This train is high speed as the title states! It was a great build and I enjoy playing with it to date. The only thing that's necessary is more track. With more track you can see the full abilities of this train enlightened. Love it :)

While trains are always a fun set to get, the High-Speed Passenger Train simply doesn't offer the amount of play features that one would expect from a $150 LEGO City set. The build isn't particular exciting (the front and back engines are virtually the same build) and you only get a single passenger car (plus only two passengers and a conductor). I think this set is better suited for adults with a larger collection of preexisting pieces (and minifigures) so that they can add to the set (such as by building a train station). In the end, I'm glad to have this set since it's my only passenger train to date...but I'm also glad to have gotten for less than retail (and I would suggest you try to do the same for this one).

This set is fairly easy to assemble, and the battery box, motor and receiver and fairly simple to set up. You may want to have a small screwdriver and some extra AAA batteries on hand. The design is sleeker and more realistic than the previous LEGO Passenger Train. The stickers give it more detail, including on the doors. The Way Station is also fairly realistic-looking, although quite small.
