Recommendation: meh 4.8 / 5 from 282 reviews

Bought this for our 6 year old grandson who had no problem putting it together by himself. He really loved it, as he, like a lot of kids, is really into police stuff. He is old enough to also take it completely apart and make his own unique version of police stuff, so I never did see it all together as pictured on the box. Nice set to encourage creativity. Legos are always a good tool for kids to engage in their own stories and playacting, not just building blocks. Nice alternative to the more expensive police department.

Recommendation: meh 81 / 100 by Tom

This set does not have a phenomenal per brick or build time value. Neither one is terrible, just not very good either. Where this set gains a lot of points in my opinion is in design and its brick-to-Minifigure ratio. This is a fun set that I would probably keep built as is if I had more space and did not already have need of the individual pieces.

Recommendation: no 4 / 5

For LEGO fans who really like the police construction sets, this one offers some classic action-packed good guys versus bad guys play. It has some fun details, as you would expect from any LEGO set, and the break-away jail cell doors will be a fun and easy feature for kids to activate over and over again. This will make a nice addition to a LEGO City collection.

I picked this up to add to my shelf and it is a pretty solid build no problems there. The issues was for one the packaging wasn't great and the price for the whole set being 50 isn't the greatest for all that you get. Now for kids they will have a lot better of a time playing with this and it a fun build. Just 50 is a lot for what you get wish it was like 40 that would be a better price I feel. Overall a good build none the less and the Minifigures are a good touch.
