This LEGO City set has a fun theme that will appeal to many kids and fans of the LEGO City line. It's a really great set, and a great value that offers both building and imaginative play.

All minifigs love a good pizza! This was a fun little build for a fun centerpiece to a minifig scene. Now some of my Star Wars troopers can stop and share a slice between battles. For $20 this is a good way to spend an hour or so.The build itself is very logical and sturdy. It's quite difficult to manipulate minifigs in either the cabin or the kitchen/service area, but food trucks are very cramped in real life too so in this case it makes sense. The 2 minifigures included are pretty basic - a pizza chef and a woman who is either a customer or a delivery driver (via the scooter, which I did not build). Her hair piece is so big that she can't turn her head or sit in the driver's seat.I have absolutely no clue why this set's instructions are spread across two booklets; kind of wasteful and just another thing to deal with on the table, but not an actual problem with the set.

This is a great little set. The Minifigures are pretty average, and you sadly do not get a lot of build time. But, the Pizza Van itself is full of fun little details and makes a great addition to any LEGO city. It also has a low cost per brick, and a good brick-to-Minifigure ratio. I do recommend it.

I appreciate that it does not lose its ‘Food Truckness' if you do not apply the stickers. It is a sturdy truck, and the minifigs give it a great amount of play value. I would have liked sufficient slices of the quarter tile pizza to make up a full circle.

Quite honestly, it's hard to go wrong with the Pizza Van set. You get two minifigures (including a nice "chef" print for the van worker). You also get a scooter and a picnic table to complement your "scene." The pizza van itself looks quite good, the dark red with the yellow is striking without being distracting. The stickers add a touch of realism to the van while maintaining the classic City "feel." Where the set loses some points is on the interior of the pizza van. Not because it's isn't detailed, in fact, it is - there is a microwave oven, ketchup and mustard dispensers (the van also serves french fries), and even a can of soda (with a printed "tab" piece for the top of the can). The problem is, the top of the van doesn't come off (it's designed to be on at all times). Your only option is to flip up the two window flaps and then try and manipulate the figures within the van. For my adult fingers, this wasn't the easiest task in the world.

As I mentioned earlier, there are quite a few sets that are focused on pizza, but this is the first version that is of it in a food van! I think it's one of those sets that will be highly collectible simply based on novelty value. We saw the same thing with the portaloo in 60073: Service Truck from 2015. Sure, there are other vehicles you can grab for your city, but they're not a pizza van!

If there is one word I had to use to describe this set, it would be satisfying. This is the ideal $20 set, and it may be the best one released so far this year. What cannot be denied is that it truly feels like a classic set - something LEGO could and should have done years ago but for some reason never did. I am happy it was made now instead, because of all of the recent techniques and parts implemented.
