My 9 son built this set in a little over two hours. He thinks it's fun there is a lot to play with in the set. A helicopter that can lift the car, two motorcycles, a man eating plant. And a bridge that collapses with the pull off a button and then goes back. Over all a good set.
I'm a huge fan of the Jungle Explorer kits and this one has a lot of variety. At 1250 pieces its a pretty involved set with 7 mini-figs, 4 vehicle types "including the 2 motorcycles" and a really cool lookout structure. I love the "Indiana Jones" style jungle theme traps, these are so cool to play with. My son really enjoys playing with the crane on the lookout structure. At $150 its a tad high since 1250 pieces should run you around $125, which is a great buy if you can get it for that price! "I did!" I love the new plane that now holds the gear and the water craft is pretty neat also. Overall it's great fun for kids and parents alike to play with since there is a lot to do and see.
This massiveness is a minor complaint, though, as in many ways, 60162 Jungle Air Drop Helicopter offers LEGO fans of all ages a set that is complete not only for its varied and intuitive builds, but for the overall scene it presents once completed. If you have the budget, this is worth it – and it may be the only set from the new CITY Jungle theme you'll need to get.

This set is very substantial, in that you get seven minifigures, four animals, five vehicles, and three landscape pieces. There's a lot of play value to be had here. However, we need to address the giant cargo helicopter in the room; this set is EXPENSIVE! At $149.99 USD, it is about the most expensive set you can get without delving into the Expert or Ultimate Collector Series range. (There are only 15 other sets more expensive released this year, as well as 3 sets that are the same price.) It's also one of the exclusive sets, so not all retailers have been allowed to carry it, limiting its availability. The set includes all the hits from the Jungle Explorers theme, but it costs a lot to get them. If you have the means to pick up this set, it is totally worth it, but a LEGO fan on a budget might have to settle for some of the smaller sets and forgo some of the Jungle features, like the cool tiger mold.
