The very first thing my kids said when they started building the set was that they wanted the astronaut to be a girl, and it took me a few minutes of digging through other sets before we could do that. Why not include a second head, with a girl face?So disappointed that Lego keeps portraying women as domestic amateurs and men as heroic professionals.Once we got past that hurdle, the kids had fun with the set. They flew the shuttle to candyland, and repaired the satellite. It's a good themed set, and a nice opportunity to explain what a satellite is. The shuttle is complex and clearly the kind of thing you will want to keep together rather than rebuild constantly, so it's more of a "role playing" set than a "building" set, which means it's extra-important that gender issues are considered... I want my kids to see themselves in the role they are playing!
This Lego Set is better than how it looks on the Box. Its great for your Money and I recommended it for kids 5-10.

A great set for the price point and as much playability as you'd expect in a set of this size. There are some excellent other sets in this LEGO City space theme and this would be a great additional to any of them.
