Recommendation: no 4.2 / 5 from 5 reviews

In my New Year's Day LEGO purchase, I decided to throw this set in because of its similarity to a vehicle from the introduction to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom: the submarine. In the movie, it dove into the Mosasaurus tank, got a bone sample of the Indominus Rex, and ultimately was eaten by the Mosasaurus. This works very well, although I will have to get a minifigure that has realistic coloring. I will likely be able to build one with my spare pieces. Overall, this is a great purchase, and any Jurassic World fan should get this inexpensive but full-of-value set.

Recommendation: meh 7 / 10 by Nachos Grande

This is a solid set in the 4+ range. The build isn't inspiring to adult collectors but the set is fun for kids to play with (I've tested that aspect)! The shark is the real highlight and I believe that this is the cheapest set that you can buy in order to acquire an official LEGO hammerhead shark. For $10, this one's an easy one to recommend without hesitation if you are a fan of the nautical theme and an easy one to skip if you don't care about the shark!

Overall this set is a solid entry point for children and I am sure most will not give a second thought to the points I have nitpicked over.
