The Ocean Exploration Ship (60266) comes with a great Minifigure assortment and an awesome, big shark. Additionally, the set offers a lot of play potential for kids. I love that the boat floats, has great interiors, a diving cage, and a cute submarine. If your kids like to play in water, this is a sure hit. However, AFOLs might not like it as much. It is big and hard to display, especially given the much nicer expert sets on the market. Additionally, the value it terrible. You are paying a lot for large, specialty pieces.

My son, who was super excited when he saw this set in the delivery box, has barely touched it since finishing the build. He likes the minifigs, animals, and submersible, but the ship is mostly just left gathering dust. Is this set what people mean when they say "whatever floats your boat"? Because unless floating boats is your thing I recommend you skip this set. It's expensive (20c per part), a simple build, and an uninteresting final model.
