Having put together the Imperial Flagship i am finding that a lot of the same techniques are used here also. a lot of the same minifigs are here too. The "admirals daughter" is white this time and not blue. Brickbeard is different in color also. This time though you get a MONKEY and a banana. way cool minifig.Overall this is a good ship but i recomend doing this one before th flagship. having less the half the parts of the flagship you moght find this a little TOO easy. still, it's a lot of fun just having the lego model to build and it's REALLY cool having it over your mantel or bookshelf

I think on the whole 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty is probably one of the nicest looking and best implemented large ships Lego has ever produced, certainly miles ahead of any of the vessels of recent years. It has an elegant design, simple and classic rigging and billowing sails, dozens of beautiful new and rare parts, and a fantastic minifig selection.
