The figure came with weird reddish brownish, almost blackish stuff on the legs, and a semi loose arms. The face print wasn't in the best condition. Also the shield has a missing piece of paint on the left side. High high chance that this figure was used. The arms and legs are easily replaceable, but the shield isn't. I was looking forward to getting the shield a little more then getting then the figure, and it had paint missing. Not near factory shipped or even close. I still like the body print and the face print is pretty good, but the shield having a scratch was very disappointing. If you're looking for a mint condition figure as I was, go somewhere else. I'm also glad I paid $3 for this as opposed to $13, like these figures usually do. Still if you want buy this figure, maybe you'll get lucky, or maybe I just got unlucky. Either way, was disappointed by the figure.
I like this set. After seeing all the preview pictures, I didn't like a lot about it but I still had to get it for Cap. In person, though, the set itself looks much better. The Cycle is growing on me. The glider looks decent and has some swooshability. I think the set is worth what I paid.
Captain America's Avenging Cycle is a decent set. The Alien General and Captain America are exclusive to this set but the Alien Foot Soldier appears in the Quinjet Aerial Battle (6869). The set has some playablilty but it would be better to combine this set with the other LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. I would recommend picking this set up just for the Captain America minifig.
It's expensive at £12, but being the only set with Captain America in it, this is a must-have.
Ultimately, whether or not you should get this set depends on whether or not you want the minifigs. Captain America can only be found in this set (the General too, but that's not who you care about) so that was a major factor in my purchase of it. Beyond that, the $13 price point makes it prohibitive for any other purchasing reasons.
Buy it. Why wait? It's (relatively) cheap, it has the exclusive Cap figure and without it the Avengers have a Chitauri army of one to fight.
