Wolverine's Chopper Showdown

This is pretty much the Marvel counterpart to the Superman set. It's in the $20 price range, has three cool and exclusive characters, it's the only set in its wave that is based on a different franchise, and is therefore a must-buy. The helicopter could have been designed better, but it still looks good and is fun to play with. more less

The copter has it's flaws, but overall there's no denying that this set is a great deal and one to certainly pick up. Do it! You'll probably be more satisfied than if it was just a dark-orange cannon (I'm looking at you, Geonosian Cannon set). more less

Overall, this is one of the better sets in the LEGO Super Heroes line, in my opinion. The three minifigures alone make the set worth it. Since this is the only set so far in the X-Men line, the prices for the minifigs are pretty high right now and the helicopter only adds more value to the set. The playability value is good as well. There's not any major cons for the set which is great and at $20, I would definitely suggest picking it up. more less

Like many others out there, I bought this just to have the Lego Deadpool minifig. And it was totally worth it! The Deadpool minifig is 100% miniaturized awesomeness. The details on his suit are fantastic, he has a great backpack-type attachment to hold his katanas, and he comes with a cool pistol.The rest of the set is kind of "meh". The Wolverine minifig is pretty cool, but looks a little awkward to me. Magneto's cape is nice, but otherwise he is kind of bland. The motorcycle is really simple, but functional. The helicopter looks neat, but it is very difficult to get a minifig in the pilot's seat (especially if you want them to be holding anything).Deadpool fans should buy it, Wolverine fans will probably like it, everyone else will wonder why Spider-man looks so different. more less

As with any set, it just depends on what you want to take from it and what it is worth to you. As a long-standing X-Men fan myself, I just had to get it, especially after seeing those minifigs! I was pleasantly surprised at the number of dark red pieces that are in it, as well as the long black curved slopes. more less

I bought two. Three if you count the one I put away for my son. I got a BOGO deal and looking at the selection of sets in this price range at the time it was an easy descision to stock up. I wanted to get an extra of each of these figures just in case they don't show up in any sets again. Luckily, the set itself is strong enough for me to warrant buying a second one without it just being about the figures. In the end though, I think the figures in this set are actually overshadowing the build and in that case I can only think of two good reasons you wouldn't want this set; you don't like the X-men, or you've already got twenty different LEGO helicopters. more less
