The build is not very repetitive, the set is smooth, contains a great part selection and detailed figures, and the price isn't too bad either!
Overall, I'm quite happy with the set The only thing I think I could ask for is a slightly better Iron Man helmet, but that's a different story... The truck is pretty decent, it definitely echos the one in the movie, but still keeping the LEGO style of vehicles. All of the minifigures represent their movie counterparts pretty well, with the usual LEGO style. I must admit that the stickers look pretty good on the set, but, I haven't convinced myself to put them on.
Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape is a really good set at a decent price. Right now, the all three minifigs bought individually sell for about the price of the set itself on Bricklink with Iron Man being the most expensive. The truck is also pretty cool as well. The only con are all the stickers you have to put on.
This set is very fun to play with and use. The mini-figures have lots of detail that helps make it look more realistic. The stickers on the truck do the same. I also like the helmet and staff that Loki has. Hawkeye gets his bow, which looks really close to one in the movie. The cosmic cube/teseract was clear instead blue like in the movie. That part was kind of sad, because the blue looks cooler. But the rest of the product makes up for that. In the back of the truck there's some type of catapult that launches Loki out of the truck I think it's kind of funny and random. This set is cool, but there are sets that are better.
I'll conclude this short review by saying the set has surpassed my expectations and I look forward to building the rest of the Marvel sets.
I can't see how you could go wrong with this set. It's an awesome car design, which allows for maximum playability. And it would be easily to add to your SHIELD arsenal against other Marvel sets like the Quinjet. The minifigs are also very nice, especially Iron Man, so collectors will be pleased. It comes with a nice array of parts, especially in dark blue. And it only costs $19.99 USD, so it's fairly affordable. The only reason that I wouldn't recommend you buy this set would be if you were going to purchase all the larger sets too, but even then this truck would still compliment them. If you're a fan of the Avengers movie, then this is a must-have set.
I say that if you have enough money for this smaller set, and you haven't picked up the other sets that these minifigs have come in, pick this up. The car is perfect, and would look great in any collection. If you're looking at this set for the pieces, it's nice for that, too.
All-in-all, it's a good little set. Simple in some respects, with new minifigs, and it has a lot of play-potential for kids. The new 1×2 inverted brackets are awesome, and I'm sure we're going to see a flood of the other parts hit the market as people (like me) buy up the set for them. But maybe not, cause dark blue is cool too.
