The wrong product was shipped, but this was a gift and there wasn't a specific preference so I didn't complain. With that, I can't really complain myself, since I didn't give the vendor the opportunity to correct the issue. I'm just leaving this information here in case there is a trend. If this is a one*time issue no big deal, but if more comments emerge like mine, please beware of a quality control issue.
We think combined with other Legends of Chima playsets and figures, this is a fun and poseable figure to bring the action of the storyline to life.
Even though I think the build has some problems. I still enjoyed the set for the parts I got from it, and I think that will be a reoccurring theme in this series. I highly recommend people pick up at least one of these sets based on which ever one looks most appealing to you. What I love about them so far is that they're cheap sets made up of mostly small parts. This is exactly the kind of system set I enjoy as a constraction MOCer. I'm sure system fans will love them for all the bows and other greebles included in them.
By the time I finished building the set, got him posed, and make him look cool, I had greatly enjoyed a nice build and a strong sense of what kind of characters these were in the Chima world. Furthermore, the beast makes a nice addition to a collection sitting on display or being played with, especially when with the other Legend Beasts. Worth the look for a Chima fan, or soon-to-be Chima fan.
I am quite impressed: there's loads of playability in it, particularly when combined with another Beast set (to give it something to thump); there are a lot of new and useful parts; it looks suitably impressive once built and it was a reasonable price, at £8.
