I have been a huge Lego fan since before I started kindergarten, and still have some of the pieces from those first sets I got as a child. I have been excited since they released these new sets, and have purchased all 5 released so far. I almost rated this set 4 out of 5 stars because on its own, it does not make a very exciting toy, but when combined with the other sets in this theme, it is a great addition, so I had to give it a 5 - besides, it comes with two minifigs and a horse. I can only assume that someone interested in this set would be interested in others in the same theme. Together they all rate 5 stars:70400 - Forest Ambush - ***** +/- $ 1470402 - The Gatehouse Raid - ***** +/- $3070403 - Dragon Mountain - ***** +/- $5070404 - King's Castle - ***** - +/- $125

It's a good set with ample playability and detailed figures. The play features and overall design seem well thought out. I would recommend this set to castle builders.

Overall, this is a decent set. The build is nothing very interesting and there isn't much in the way of interesting parts, but the figures are good, the price/piece ratio is excellent, and the final build, at least of the wagon, is solid.

All in all, this set is very underwhelming. It's just one example of many from this wave of Castle sets that shows that the general increase in the quality of construction we've seen in most sets for the last 6 years or so isn't immune to hiccups. Compared to the preceding Kingdoms line, this wave of sets is a profound disappointment.
