Recommendation: meh 4.4 / 5 from 64 reviews

Bought this LEGO set for my nephew's birthday. He loves LEGOs and pirates and was so excited to put it together. Upon opening it in front of the entire birthday party, he found a rubber ducky, two batteries taped together, a bundle of paper folded and stapled together, and a pack of LEGOs that did not even go with the pirate set. It was very embarrassing and extremely disappointing not only for me because I paid $38.00 for it but also for him because he was so excited. I'm very hesitant to reorder this item in fear that this will happen again.

Not a super high ranking set, but still a good one, especially if you're like me and a fan of the whole Pirates range.

This small set is beautiful, with only 150 pieces and 3 minifigs, is a nice addition for your Pirate layouts. The building includes some clips to attach it to the bigger 70412 Soldiers Fort set in order to get a stronger fortification, very similar to the 6242 set made in 2009.
