I really like this set. I may get a couple of them. It has some minor irritations but they're far from fundamental and the thing just oozes awesomeness. Plus some other substances of questionable safety.
A great set that is not too expensive for its size. The figs are great, too. Really needs a ADU guy, but nonetheless, a good classic alien look. Not very good if you're just in it for the parts, but I can see a kid playing with this for hours.
This was a pretty cool set. My kids really liked it. They said it has a lot of interesting parts so when they took it apart they use a lot of them for imaginary stuff of their own.Just beware of the price. I got this for about fifteen bucks on sale which was excellent. Approximately ten to fifteen cents per piece is about right depending on how specialize the set is.
The pieces are neat, the tripod looks cool, but the function is lacking. So, as usual, it comes down to what you want. I look forward to using the pieces from the set, but not so much as an alien invasion menace. But if I was, that pod is slick and speedy and can carry a human with no effort.
I feel that this set is a clear winner, lots of play value and alieny goodness. It could have included a defense force element like some of the other sets, but I like the idea of having more civilian victims included.
